NATSUME REVEALS NEW HARVEST MOON : Harvest Moon the Lost Valley evolves the franchise:
Shortly after CeeCee revealed The Lost Valley, Natsume’s official page issued a public press release that you can read at the link above. It touts the new game as being the first completely 3D Harvest Moon (What’s this supposed to mean…? So many 3D HMs already), boasting even more customization possibilities to your farm, and that it will harken back to the series roots while innovating in completely new ways.
That’s a heckuva lot to assume with so little concrete info. With no existing/Japanese game to attribute these features to due to Story of Seasons’ current status, I’m going to caution a guess that this is a totally new title that’s been in development internally. Hmm… hopefully we’ll get our first really good look at E3, which is only seven days away! There’s still a lot of interesting questions to this though. Like, is Wada involved in any way? What’s so special about the innovations? So many mysterious things going on with the series lately.
Make your own conclusions with the press release link above!
UPDATE: Siliconera has an update that sheds some new light on the subject. Namely: It is a new Japanese team making the game and it has been in development since early last year. Also, even though this is coming after Toybox’s relationship with Natsume with Hometown Story, Wada (the original Bokujou Monogatari series creator) is NOT involved.
